We only have about 22 or 23 Juniors and Seniors.
I like some of the underated guys in this class. I think Devrin Young who isn't rated that highly will be a very good player for us down the road. Also I think Jordan Williams could turn out to be very good. Christan Harris has good size and his film really looks good for playing 5a football in Georgia. You never know how it ends but our class really needed to be full of kids that are going to stick around for 4 years and when you need a class like that sometimes you don't have as high a ranking as you may like but I think most UT fans are excited about it. Dooley said this class Core GPA averaged over 3.0 and had an average ACT of 21 so hopefully most of these kids will be able to adjust to college and contribute to the program instead of getting caught up in trouble or flunking out.
We shall see. He is doing what he said he would do though and that is change the culture. Hopefully the wins will follow.
+1..... I fully agree
Re: Tomorrow is Christmas...
One of the 4-5 best players in the class is Brian Randolph.
I was listening to Rivals Radio and a lot of the Hokie fans were fuming. Ragging on the class and mad as hell about losing commits on the last day to Vanderbilt and UVA. I think the QB Thouragood went to Vandy and they made it sound like they lost 2-3 to UVA.
Re: Tomorrow is Christmas...
London pulled a few that were unexpected that maybe Tech thought they had.

Bad to the Bone.....
I think Randolph is going to be a great player. Parade 1st team All American, Gatorade player of the year in Ga. I was mainly talking about the lower ranked guys who I thought where going turn out to be good players. Even though IMO and alot of others Randolph was underated by rivals by only being a three star.
London is a heck of a recruiter. I think he will have some sucess at UVA. I think some ACC teams had good days yesterday. UNC had a pretty good class for all the problems off the field they have had. Clemson racked up and FSU was off the charts. I think Miami will be better in the future they just didn't have alot of time to put much of a class together. I thought Tech would sign a better class coming off an Orange Bowl and losing all those skill guys. You would think they could have sold playing time.... Who knows..... Corey Marshall is going to be a good player though. I would have thought they may have signed another RB or two.......
Re: Tomorrow is Christmas...
I actually thought UVA did better than VT. I didnt see the final rankings of the two, but going on the names I heard pick UVA/VT, I thought London did a better job than the VT guys
Re: Tomorrow is Christmas...
UVA got a stud in Clifton Richardson. He is very good back from Tidewater area. They also pulled some good DB's. Dominique Terrell looks good on his rivals film. I also think Croce the 3* DT they got is going to be good.
I think UVA was 25th on rivals and Tech was like 33rd. There isn't a lot of difference in those classes. 33rd isn't very good for Tech though. It was the first time since 07 they have finished outside the top 25.
Re: Tomorrow is Christmas...
Terrell looks very good on film, he has good size and quickness. He also opens up well, which for a HS DB is a rare thing
Re: Tomorrow is Christmas...
and Cyrus K. will sign Monday, is the word right now
